Aisha Jamila Hinds has been an American actress for more than an entire decade. Her credits include The Shield as well as True Blood. Her range of talents has been proven in TV series including 9-1-1 Detroit 1, 8-7, and Under the Dome since she began her career as an actor in 2003. As of 2005 she gained attention first for her performance as Anna in Assault on Precinct 13 The performance she made in the biographical movie All the Way as the woman's rights campaigner Fannie Lou Hammer was a major draw for the notice of the general public. Hind also earned high praise for her performance as Harriet Tubman in WGN America's drama period series Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television renewed the show for a fresh season.
