Brooke Christa Shields Bio

Brooke Christa Shields (born May 31 1965) is a famous American actress and model. As a model for children, she won critical acclaim when she played the lead role in Louis Malle’s film Pretty Baby (1978). She continued modeling throughout her teens, and was featured in numerous dramas during the 1980s, such as The Blue Lagoon (1980) and Franco Zeffirelli's Endless Love (1981). In 1983, Shields ended her modeling career to study at Princeton University where she received an undergraduate degree in Romance Languages. In the 90s, Shields returned to acting and appeared in small parts in films. She also played a prominent role in the NBC sitcoms Suddenly Susan (1996-192000), where she earned two Golden Globe nominations and Lipstick Jungle (2008)-2009. In the year 2017, Shields was back on NBC with a major recurring role in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in the show's 19th season. Since 2014, Shields has voiced Beverly Goodman in the Adult Swim animated series Mr. Pickles and its spinoff Momma Named Me Sheriff. Brooke Christa Shields is a New Yorker born May 31 1965 in Manhattan. She is the daughter and businessman Frank Shields (1941-1903). Based on William Addams Reitwiesner research, Shields had ancestral connections to various noble families from Italy. These are namely (in chronological order of descent from 1355 to 1965) the Gattilusi-Palaiologos-Savoy, Grimaldi, Imperiali, Carafa, Doria, Doria-Pamphili-Landi, Chigi-Albani, and Torlonia dynasties. Her paternal grandmother was the Italian noblewoman Marina Torlonia di Cvitella-Cesi she was the daughter of an Italian prince and an American socialite. Her uncle was Alessandro Torlonia from Italy, who was married to Infanta Beatriz of Spain. The family of Teri paid Frank an amount for her to terminate her pregnancy.
