Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is a model and actress. She made her debut in the Bond film called A View to a Kill in the year 1985. In 1989 she played an archaeologist with Nazi sympathies Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan Donevan as A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) also play roles. A photographer approached Doody. Doody began to model, which turned into a career in commercial modelling. Doody was adamantly against the glamour of thongs, nakedness and nudity in her modelling career. Doody was offered a tiny role in the film Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill after she was spotted by the casting director. Doody was named as one of the top 12 promising young Actors from 1986 in John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Only 18 years old when she appeared in the character Doody was, and still is one of the smallest Bond girl who has appeared in a film. A Prayer for the Dying with Mickey Rourke also had a performance by Doody, playing IRA Siobhan. Doody had a non-speaking role in the 1987 television version of The Secret Garden appearing as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias in the movie of his dreams. She played Sapsorrow in the Jim Henson's fable show The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress played Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. Then she took her biggest role yet in the film Taffin as Austrian Archaeologist and Nazisympathiser Doctor. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody was in the film with Sean Connery, who played Indiana Jones' father. In 1991 Doody co-starred opposite Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the published fraud known as The Hitler Diaries. In Hollywood her next move was to. She took over Cybill Shepherd in the L'Oreal spokesperson character. She then played Flannery Sheen's wife and agent opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II came out in 1994. Doody was a part of the 2002 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine played her in a ceremony for an award. She starred along together with Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film version to King Solomon's Mines. Doody played a small role in Danny Dyer's movie The Rapture (2010). The Clinic, a medical drama that aired on RTE. The Asphyx was her 2011 remake. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. In 2014, she appeared as Pam Jefferson on We Still Kill the Old Way. The Almeria Tierra de Film Award was presented to her on the 21st of November, 2018. She also received a star at the Almeria Walk Of Fame.
