Alison Doody
Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is a model and actor. Her debut film performance as an archaeologist Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, 1989's Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character - in A View to a Kill (Bond film 1985) She went on to perform the role of Nazisympathizing Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Doovan portrayed Charlotte on Taffin in 1988 and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody was approached by a photographer who asked her to model. Then she began her career as a commercial model. Doody tried to stay clear of the glamour of nude roles which was a principle she applied in her acting. When she was spotted by the director of casting for an upcoming James Bond movie, she participated of A View to a Kill in the role of Jenny Flex. Doody was named one of the top twelve promising young actors in the year 1986 in John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody was just turning 18 when she was given the character of Bond girl. She is still the youngest Bond girl to date. A Prayer for the Dying (1997) which starred Mickey Rourke, also featured an unimportant role in the form of IRA Siobhan. Doody was unspoken as Archibald Craven's spouse Lilias during his film of a dream, the 1987 adaptation from The Secret Garden. The Storyteller episode from 1988 featured her in the lead role of Sapsorrow and was portrayed by John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. She then took on her most memorable role to date as Austrian Archaeologist and Nazisympathiser Dr. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody was in the film with Sean Connery in the film in the role of Indy's father. Doody was in the British miniseries Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. The show was inspired by the Hitler Diaries publication scam. Doody later moved to Hollywood. She starred as Flannery as Flannery in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody's return to the big screen took place in 2003, when Michael Caine played Doody in an uncredited role. Her roles included a TV movie adaptation of King Solomon's Mines in 2004 and a book about the Holocaust as well as the short film Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Doody appeared as a character in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. Then, she appeared in RTE's medical thriller The Clinic. She was scheduled to also appear in an adaptation in 2011 of the horror classic The Asphyx. However, the project was ultimately canceled. The actress began her two seasons on the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. The following year, she starred as Pam Jefferson on We Still Kill the Old Way. The 21st of November, 2018, she was awarded by the Almeria the tierra de cine prize and was awarded an award in the Almeria Walk of Fame.
